The bartender does not ask the boys for ID, despite the fact that the penalty for serving alcohol to anyone under 21 - or even having someone underage in a bar area at all - is automatic shutdown. For this reason, liquor license owners will often aggressively card anyone who looks younger than their 30's, even if they have facial hair.
