Jasmine approaches the little boy in the marketplace, he is shown to be very tiny as he tries unsuccessfully to reach over the edge of the apple vendor's stand for an apple. Jasmine says "you must be hungry". The boy's head is now level with the stand, and as he runs away he is much taller, ample height to have snatched the apple in the first place.
