During and after the hijack, the two trains are on parallel tracks, hijackers on the right hand side. The victim train is switched to a third track to the left, for collision with the passenger train. Moments later, the hijacker train enters a single track tunnel. The second track (between hijackers and victims) is nowhere to be seen.
