When Roy is on the secret mission, they get a distress call from another ship and slow down. During the slow-down, nobody shows any sign of acceleration (the rocket should be pointed away from the ship in distress to use its main engine for a retro burn). Roy, not being strapped down, should have coasted toward the back of the ship.
