In the first moments of the film, right after Ann's angry exchange with Michael over the phone, she gets up, opens her bedroom door, and through the slightly open door to Judith's bedroom Judith is seen beginning to stir. However, as the scene then fades to a closeup of Judith in her bed, she appears perfectly still, sleeping. As the phone continues to ring, she then slowly begins to stir.
