(at around 1h 55 mins) At the end of the movie, two passenger planes are involved in a near miss. There is no flight control maneuver that has two civil planes flip sideways by 90 degrees, they would just change altitude, as instructed by the standard automated on-board TCAS system, which does not rely on ground communication. Banking to turn would waste valuable seconds, especially for planes as large & sluggish as the airliners shown.
