When Jake drops the pages from the book of the dead through the cellar door they should only have been able to land either on the stairs to the cellar or underneath the stairs to the cellar. Although 1 or 2 pages land here, the bulk of the pages somehow seemed to have managed to find their way through a closed door and into a sewage system beneath the house.
