At the end where Bubba shoots Max in the knee, Toecutter and Bubba then appear riding towards him from so far away that you can barely see them. When they're previously shown up close it looks like they're within close range to Max, especially by the way Bubba is aiming, and there's no way they would have even attempted to try and make the shot from that distance with a pistol.
