About 84 minutes, Jacob forces Scott (at gunpoint) to call Paul, then tell him that Mike has killed himself, there's money everywhere, and he's got to "get there". Paul shows up, sees Scott's hands tied with duct tape and sees the money. He immediately kills Scott by cutting a large vein in his neck. Scott was motivated enough to try to get loose as he was screaming and crying like a little girl when Jacob forced him to make the call to Paul in the first place. Scott could have wriggled a hand free from the duct tape, and gotten himself loose; long before Paul ever showed up.
