At the beginning of the film, the enemy agents state that Frank Griffin (Jon Hall) is the grandson of the original Invisible Man, "Frank Griffin Sr.". The original Invisible Man was named (in the original 1931 film) "Jack Griffin" and was never married or had a son. However, in the 1940 film THE INVISIBLE MAN RETURNS, it is revealed that he had a brother named "Frank Griffin", so INVISIBLE AGENT's Frank Griffin is actually the great-nephew of the original Invisible Man.
