When Hope and Scott first meet, Scott is laying in bed with Hope watching over him. When Scott is seen from Hope's perspective, we can see the bed and most of the floor, which has no ants on it. Scott moves to get out of bed and goes to place his feet on the floor, which is now covered with bullet ants. Not enough time had passed, and no ants walk that fast, to completely cover the floor in the short time depicted between the two scenes.
