Did Drax build the "python pool" on the off chance an intruder would stumble upon his base (the one in the middle of the Amazon?) Was the girl who lured him in paid to wander around the jungle just in case anyone showed up? And was the rock that flipped whoever stood on it into the pool a design choice? Given the odds of someone standing in that exact spot for it to work, it would have made more sense for one of the women to just push him in.
