When the dean is hanging, her tormentor releases the rope, she drops slightly, and he reels her back up effortlessly. Yet two FBI guys struggle when they attempt the same task together. Her tormentor is using a hoist/pulley system to easily lift the dean. Dr. Gramm and Frank Parks only use muscle strength.
