When King Kaiser, the "labor" leader, and their respective attorneys are discussing Kaiser's possible defamation of the labor leader, the attorneys are discussing the issues with reference to claims and defenses, including "actual malice" and "public figures, doctrines which had not been fully developed until the early 70's nearly twenty years before the events in the movie.
