When the Patrol boat is dropped from the helicopter, the barrels of the boat's twin-M2 .50 cal machine guns are fully elevated and unsecured, causing them to slam to the deck when the boat hits the water. This is often enough force to either bend the heavy barrels or ruin the guns entirely.
