A smart meteorologist would have not taken cover under an overpass, the reason being is that when a tornado gets close to the overpass the winds passing through it would greatly increase due to the wind-tunnel effect. In reality the tornado should have sucked out the people seeking shelter under the overpass and the van for obvious reasons.
