When the T-850 tries to strike the T-X the final time with a gas tank, the T-X punches a hole right into the pressurized tank. The tank should rupture explosively due to the sudden catastrophic hull breach, but instead the gas vents out slowly, as if a valve on the tank had been opened to release the gas.
