The film revolves around two events: the town's honey festival, and a strain of bees brought in from Mexico to pollinate crops. Quite apart from the fact that Mexico is a long way from Washington, with a totally different climate, a town so proud of its honey that it holds an annual festival must surely have sufficient hives of its own to make the honey that it would not need to bring in more.
