After emerging from the U-Bahn station, Benji crosses the Kärntner Ring to get to the Opera House. Not only is that impractical - the correct exit emerges on the same side as the Opera House - it would be impossible to cross the street on foot at that point without provoking a vigorous response from motorists and very likely an arrest.
