Jeff is given one bullet which he loads into the pistol and shoots Amanda. He then points the pistol at John and pulls the trigger, causing a click sound showing the pistol is empty. However, this is not how pistols work. After firing the last bullet, the pistol's slide would automatically lock back, clearly showing the gun to be empty.
