When Nic is fighting with the truck driver in the cab who has absconded with Haley, she stops the fight by pointing a gun at the driver (presumably that she found in the truck cab). Later when they leave the truck driver at the side of the road and take his rig, Nic searches the truck cab and Haley asks him what he's looking for? He replies, "A gun or something." The gun that Haley had earlier was thrown onto the dashboard of the truck - so there was "a gun" there. *Correction: Nic says "phone" not "gun." He is looking for a cell phone.
