In the opening scene, when the plane is flying the Moonraker shuttle from California to England, the pilots state they will be flying over England in minutes. Then the Moonraker shuttle takes off destroying the plane. Later, it's said by Bond that the crash was in the Yukon (presumably using the flight route through the North Pole). Even if Bond was mistaken, the crash site photo appears to have a lot of snow, unusual if it was Scotland or Wales during the summertime.
