The family wake up late and just get to the flight in time. Halfway through the flight it is dark out of the plane's windows, which is not possible because France would be an 8-hour flight from O'Hare, yet when they land it is daylight in Paris. This isn't possible either, it would be dark in Paris when the plane landed after an 8-hour flight.
