Tipoff's gun is a Hk USP-Match (modified) which is composed of a USP and a weight or compensator (black colored) called 'Match'. This weight is screwed to the gun in front of the stainless (silver colored) slide. So it should be impossible for Frank to remove this slide (while fighting and) without unscrewing the Match blocking it.
