The red cloth that's covering the gun changes its position between the first time it is seen when Jeff talks to his daughter, Corbett, when she comes in the room and the second time it is seen. The first time the back-half of it is folded back over itself and it's tucked under Jeff's leg. The next time it is seen, it is spread out flat.
