When the group first gets together at the beginning of the film and Michael tells Ana and Kenneth that they are heading to the mall, they begin walking up a small, grassy hill one after the other toward the fence. You can see the grass that they walk on is very heavily disturbed and crushed down in just that one spot, showing that they likely filmed multiple takes walking up and down the same area many times.
