When Agent Tarrance asks Mitch how he came up with mail fraud as a way of getting the firm, he says it was on the bar exam. He clearly got the idea in an earlier scene, when one of his clients complained about being overbilled. However, the fact that he knew it was illegal to mail the inaccurate documents to their clients likely could have been a question on the bar exam.
