When Ofc. Zavala shows the pistol that the suspect in the pickup had tried to shoot him with to Ofc. Taylor we see in close-up that the pistol's hammer is in the cocked position. After a brief cutaway of both officers looking down at Zavala's hands, we then see the pistol in close-up again and the hammer is down in the uncocked position. After another cutaway to the suspect being searched by one of the cover officers, we see Zavala again as he begins to search the driver's position of the pickup. In close-up we see that the pistol is now in Zavala's right back trouser pocket and the hammer is back in the cocked position again.
