When the Nimitz air strike force is sent after the Japanese aircraft headed to attack Pearl Harbor, there are several planes that do not have air-to-air combat capability in the strike force, such as the A6-E Intruder [bomber] and S3-A Viking {anti-submarine warfare.] The only planes involved in that attack should have been obviously the F14 Tomcat fighters ,and also the A7-E Corsairs, who had the capability of carrying nose guns and Sidewinder air-to-air missiles on side rails. An EA6-B Prowler could have also been included to jam any Japanese radio transmissions. The rest of the aircraft should have been withheld to go after the Japanese fleet.
