On Monday 27th August 1883, in late morning GMT+7, Krakatoa erupted in Indonesia. The sound wave traveled around the earth seven times, and yet this incredible event was completely absent from the narrative.While correct that the pressure waves are recorded as having circled the globe and tsunami waves are recorded to have rocked ships as far as South Africa approx. 5,500 miles away, the audible "sound" waves are recorded as travelling approx. 3,000 miles at the most. Montana is approx. 9,000 miles from Krakatoa.
