Danny Trejo is at the controls of the Zodiac from the launch right up until it hits the beach. The actual stunt helmsman can be seen as it makes landfall. And he is the only one to exit the boat to the left and rear to minimize his exposure to the camera; the other two jump at the cameras and the beach.
