Mac says out of the blue during the taxi chase scene that something is the matter and he stops the taxi and gets out and looks under the car and finds the bomb stuck under the car. However, there is absolutely nothing that could have clued him in to the bomb's existence. It was stuck to the frame and couldn't have affected the performance of the car as he implied.
