In the breaching of the fence at the NK DMZ, right as Roadblock begins to melt the fence, you can see a steel cable just above the metal pipe. This is a pressure sensor cable, which is finely tuned to the pressure on sections of the fence. Removing or altering sections of the fence alters the pressure on the cable which activates an audible alarm, and a monitoring station that shows which section area is triggering the alert.
