After Harry leaves the library, having been heard by Filch, he goes down a hall and hidden under his cloak he encounters Profs. Snape and Quirrell. While standing there, Filch comes up and reports to Snape and Quirrell, "There's a student out of bed." He, Snape, and Quirrell take off to find the offending student. Harry then goes off and finds the Mirror or Erised, goes back to the dorm and gets Ron. Yet neither is caught out of bed -- because they were under the cloak the entire time.
