When De Wald shoots Todd through the passenger window, his gun does not fire. Rather, he makes an exaggerated trigger pull, which apparently set off the the rigged window to break in front of the gun. Aside from the fact that there is no muzzle flash when the gun "fires," there is also no bullet hole through the middle of the window, where the bullet would have made impact. Instead, the glass breaks from the bottom--as it would if it was rigged to--and the window then completely cascades downward, clearly indicating having been rigged to do this.
