In the close-up shots of the group hiding under water and breathing through bamboo stalks (which are supposed to be reeds), the tops of the bamboo stalks are sticking out of the water at least a foot, but in a couple other shots from further back, only one bamboo stalk is visible and the top of it is right at water level and in one case even disappears under water.
