When the helicopter pilot joins the chase, he radios "I've just picked up the Bandit, eastbound on 95". I-95 runs north/south along the east coast of Georgia, not east/west. the closest they come to driving on I-95 is Savannah GA, which is around 250 miles southeast of Atlanta.
