When Eggsy picks up Gazelle's prosthetic leg and flips out the spike, it is about 12" long. After Eggsy throws it through Valentine, the spike goes all the way through his body and sticks out of his chest by about 8". The side view of Valentine as he falls out the window shows that the spike has nearly tripled in length from when Eggsy threw it.
