In Terminator 2: Judgement Day, molten hot metal is enough two destroy both Terminators (T-800/T-1000) and Terminator parts (arm/CPU chip) almost instantly upon contact. After having a vat of molten metal dumped on it, the extent of the damage to the T-800 is that it's encased in the cooling metal for a few seconds before breaking free to continue it's attack. Even a vat of molten "hyperalloy", which the Terminator is made from, would severely damage the endoskeleton of the T-800 if not completely destroy it.
