In the opening scene, the police sergeant describes Turing as a 'professor at King's' and he is then addressed as 'Professor Turing'. At this time Alan Turing had been at Manchester University for several years where he was a Reader, not a Professor. In any case, it is most unlikely that King's College Cambridge would have been referred to simply as 'King's' outside that town, there being other notable colleges of that name such as King's College London.
