Many of the gangster demises were "Hollywoodized". Baby Face Nelson and the two FBI agents died in a shootout in an open field, not a wooded area. Nelson did not die immediately but got back in his car, drove a short distance and then died of his wounds. The only factual part is that both FBI agents did die by their car.
