As Count Mercy is handing a letter to Marie Antoinette, he returns the macaron to the plate twice. The first time as he stands up to bid her farewell, he is holding it in his left hand and returns it to the plate. In the next shot, after he hands the letter over, he is revealed to be holding it again, this time in his right hand and there is an even clearer shot of him returning it plate the second time around.
