In the scene after they find the boy running scared and bloody shortly after arriving, when they explore the hut, the old archer tells Ibn not to get in front of him. The archer is right-handed but has the arrow resting on the left side of his bow. In that age, the arrow was shot off the right side of the bow. The left side is a more modern technique.In the tens of thousands of years bows and arrows have been used, every possible combination of bow, arrow and fingers have been tried. Not a Goof.
