As with all wartime movies made during the 1940s, this film has many aircraft errors. First, the attacking Japanese are flying Grumman F-4F Wildcats painted with "meatballs" on their wings and fuselages. Second, Brad Craig is flying a Curtiss SNC-1 Falcon, painted to look like a Japanese plane, when he crashes the carrier deck. Third, Cyanide Jenkins is shown flying a Douglas SBD Dauntless at the beginning of his flight, but attacks the Japanese carrier flying a F-4 Wildcat.
