In the first engagement between Maverick and Jester, right after Maverick hits the air brakes and gets behind Jester, Jester goes vertical and Maverick chases. Moments later, in the very brief third camera shot after Goose says, "We're going ballistic Mav, go get him," the larger plane (Maverick's F-14) passes through the frame first, followed by Jester's smaller plane.
