The original 28 Days Later we could say takes place in the year 2002. So that would mean that the Wembley Stadium we see at the end of the movie shouldn't exist as the film takes place 28 weeks after the initial outbreak, which places the events of the film somewhere between 2002 and 2003. Wembley wasn't demolished until 2003, any work on it would be impossible as the country has been empty for the subsequent 6 months.
