At approximately 1:25, when Katherine is calculating the landing zone, her coordinates are 5.0667N, 77.3333W, supposedly near the Bahamas. In fact, that latitude and longitude is a point on land about 230 miles west of Bogota, Columbia. Friendship 7 actually splashed down approximately 800 miles southeast of Cape Canaveral, near Grand Turk Island (closer to 21.5N, 71.1W).
