The story is set in 1964, but most of the songs included in the soundtrack were released in 1966, 1967, and 1968. There is also a radio announcement about Felice Gimondi's victory at Tour De France, which happened in 1965, and the sudden news of the car-accident death of Italian singer/songwriter Fred Buscaglione, which had actually happened in winter 1960.
