After the Government has rested, Lt. Kaffee, Lt. Weinberg, and Lt. Cdr. Galloway are the last ones in the courtroom, and they are arguing. Lt. Kaffee tells everyone to take the night off, and then reaches around his body with his right hand to pick up his briefcase which was sitting behind him and to his left. The next shot, from the rear, shows Kaffee talking to Galloway. He raises his right hand and shows that it is empty. He then switches his briefcase, now in his left hand, to his right hand.
