Stromberg's captains of the two stolen submarines who had initially been given coordinates of New York and Moscow, had they even a shred of seagoing navigation, would have instantly recognized the new coordinates that Bond had given them as the other submarine's location and would not have fired, and immediately radioed back for an explanation.
